Storm Water Management
MCi offers a full range of services including watershed delineation and analysis, hydrologic modeling, hydraulic analysis, design of storm sewers, ponding areas and drainage appurtenances, floodplain delineation, and application of best management practices. Our services have supported a myriad of land development, municipal infrastructure and transportation projects of different levels of complexity. We are highly experienced in the use of computer watershed modeling, alluvial fan and sediment transport modeling, and hydraulic analysis for study areas encompassing from a few acres to up to several tens of thousands of acres. MCi is a leader in the use of advanced technologies to analyze projects. These advanced technologies allow for reduced study times and costs while allowing for increased variations in the analysis of alternatives. Examples of these technologies include: • Implementation of Geographic Information Systems for the analysis of watersheds and storm water management system alternatives, • Use of computer software for producing flood data and mapping in standard formats acceptable to regulatory agencies, and • Automated computations related to regression analysis for sediment computations. We have extensive experience in preparing regulatory agency submittals including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for delineation and re-delineation of flood plain boundaries and approval of flood control and drainage appurtenances. Our success rate for approval of submittals by FEMA is 100%. • see portfolio >
